Bit of a niche question maybe, but the Race Face BBs I normally use seem to have doubled in price and last less than a year. The alternative seems to be the Hope PF41 bearings but the sealing on those doesn't look great as it's just the bearing seal on its own.
Are there any other options or do I just drop £60 on another RF one?
Rotor are good and reasonable £, and what I use.
Hope are about the same quality but twice the £.
Airevelo bearings on ebay also have some but I've not tested these (good ebay seller though).
The Hope one is just an Enduro bearing with a flange on the outer race. I use them and they last reasonably well but they don’t have any additional sealing. I’ve not looked at alternatives as I have a small stash of the Hope which will last me a while.
Enduro XD15 I believe is sposed to be the best?
£200 though so not cheap but be worth it?
30mm axle PF41 was always a daft design, so will never last long. Balls too small.
Just buy and replace and accept the physics. Or buy a 24mm axle crank.
