Swapping bits over from a 2015 Scott scale carbon to a 2017 Scott spark carbon.
I'm struggling with the bottom bracket standards. The cranks in question are Praxxis 30mm.
The shell width of the scale is 89.5 so by the time you got the flanges of the bottom bracket that makes a width of 92mm which all good and dandy. The spark has a shell width of 92mm then you add the flanges of the bearing housing and you get 94/95mm.
The problem is when I go to install the cranks I can't tighten up the 8mm hex before it binds solid.
What am I missing here?
Have you got a 3mm spacer Installed in the new frame?
If one is 89mm wide and the other is 92mm wide, there should be a 3mm spacer which you need to remove.
It’s usually between the BB & crankarm
