Forgive my ignorance, buuuut...

...would Avid BB7s (160mm for rotors) fit on the current model of the Genesis Croix de Fer?
I ask because I currently have a new pair on an old frame, but have a chance to get the latest Croix in a sale (before midnight tonight) in a more appropriate size than my current frame.
Now, the current model has the rear disc brake (also 160mm rotors) mounted 'inboard' as opposed to the more usual 'outboard', leading to my uncertainty regarding the compatability for the rear caliper unit to be fitted.
The answer is probably obvious, but a bit of caution and consideration can't go amiss.

Yes. They'll be fine.

If you pedal heel-in, Spyres have a bit more clearance, narrower caliper. But I do still prefer BB7s. I think.

Actually, what could I replace the big ring on the front with? The spec one is really quite ugly.

I had a black 105 chainset on mine, as built up from frame only.

Merlin have some good deals. If you remove the Tiagra dinner plate from new, you could sell it for a few quid.
