I have a Cannondale F29 Carbon bike , only covered about 150 miles off road in Afan's finest grinding grit....
Bottom bracket has become a little noisy, took the crank off and had a look at the bearings etc.
The bike is fitted with an XT double crank, and Wheel Manufacture conversion spacers.
The bearings seem to be fine in the frame, adding the Wheel Manufacturer converters seem to add some noise to the whole bottom bracket area.
Any advice on better bearings as a replacement, or a better conversion to run XT cranks?
The carbon f29s have got a lip machined into the bb shell so you can't use my preferred method of a bsa threaded sleeve or the praised Praxis BB.
The kcnc bb and also this with a bsa bb should work.
Cheers,
Looks like the standard bb30 is just a means of keeping down the standard build cost of the bike.
kcnc unit will be my choice though, thanks.
I would double check the kcnc compatibility....I've been on the Leffe today 8)
A phone call to Clee cycles will confirm it.
