Hi all, looking at replacing my sram x1 cranks on my Newmad. I have bent one of the crank arms slightly and they've just seen better days. A little long for the bike too, I keep striking them (hence the bent arm).
Now looking for a replacement set, a lot of cranks are BB30 only - now my Nomad is standard 73mm threaded BB, is there a way to run the BB30 cranks such as Raceface Turbine or Hope? Or am I restricted to 'standard' cranks such as XT/Saint, if so has anyone got any recommendations? Thinking of going to 165mm and I value durability and strength over low weight components.
I'm 11 speed sram, would there be any issues if I get a set of shimano saint m825, stick a N/W on and run it? - Or am I best staying with 11 speed specific cranks.

I use bb30 cranks on my 73mm pickenflick with a rotor BB. CRC sell them and they come with a BB spanner/ tool to install.
Superb quality and the bearings are probably the best I've had in any BB.
Also going to install the same BB and crank on my wife's bike.
Oh, ensure the BB axle is long enough to fit. Mine was a Force xc1 which was only just long enough after removing all spacers.
It depends.
If they're proper BB30 cranks, then no, the spindle is shorter as well as fatter.
If they just have a 30mm spindle, then you can get BB cups for 6806 bearings like the Rotor or BOR ones.
Raceface and Hope make standard 68/73mm threaded BBs for their 30mm cranks. Raceface ones are still as shit as their 24mm ones.

I was initially eyeing either Hope cranks of RF turbines - would both of these be good to go with the rotor/hope bb30 bearing?

It's looking like being between RF Turbines and the Saints, anyone got any opinions?
