I've got an '11 stumpjumper evo with a bb30 bottom bracket shell and am having problems sorting out the fitting a pair of XT cranks and king bottom bracket.
At present my options are:
New truvativ crankset and bottom bracket - too expensive
One of these but can't seem to find one in the UK with a 72mm shell, though I could then run a standard bottom bracket
or could use one of these but seems to be for road cranks, would it fit an XT hollowtech 2, or if not I have an FSA k force light.
To compound the problems I leave for Canada next Tues so need to get it sported pretty quick, can anyone make any suggestions?
Thanks
KCNC BB30 Adapter? Plenty on eBay.
Is it BB30? They weren't previously, they were OSBB which has a wider shell, no idea if it changed for 2011, but you had to use the Shimano BB91 adapter, only available through Spesh previously. Sounds like that may still be the issue...
Cheers messiah got one ordered
So are they BB30? You may want to clarify that...
What went wrong with the original crankset???
And feel sure it's a SRAM PF30 which I thought was same as BB30
Or is it that a BB 30 crank can work with a PF30 bottom bracket
Same bike as me. It's a SRAM PF30 not many options out there. Although Leisure lakes got an XT crank fitted to my previous 11 S-works SJ (Same BB). My 'original BB lasted 10 hours, nearly ditched the origial crank but got a new BB fitted myself and now all's well. The crank on the evo is an XO.

The evo is one hell of a bike.
PF30 and BB30 are the same cranks, PF30 uses plastic cups housing the bearings. OSBB is Spesh's version, the road one (confusingly) is BB30, but the MTB one is different - the shell is wider, so you can only use S-Works cranks or the BB91 adapters with a standard HT2 crank.
This may have changed for 2011, but if not it may explain the OP's problems!
