Just swapped my hope threaded BB to a new frame and it keeps coming loose and creaking. When I tighten it it's good for about 5 mins then more creaking. Should I use thread lock? Never neaded it on the old frame?
Only difference is longer BB shell so 1 spacer instead of 3
Did you grease the threads before you installed it? And what did you torque it to?
I cleaned the threads but didn't greese, won't that make it undo easier?
I tightened to "pretty damn tight" the second time around. I think I have a torque wrench somewhere- what's the recommended....
It needs the threads to be smoothered in copperslip or grease otherwise its gonna creak badly
