Not sure if this has been spotted yet

Crikey hadn't realise chain slap was such a major issue

It's not a looker, is it.

I'm pretty sure a clutch mech would be a far lighter, cheaper and better looking solution.

Since they're using a rohloff hub, they could simply use a rohloff chain tensioner.
But that's not the ethos with nahbs bikes...

They've eliminated the noise of chain slap by using a Rohloff?

What about the constant "pepper mill" noise coming from the Rohloff?

Or the fact the Rohloff constantly leaks oil on to the disc? Is the non-squealing brake rotors a "designed in feature" or is that a happy accident?

no chain noise is the least interesting bit on that. little or no pedal feedback / chain influence on a high pivot is a quite desirable trait in some circles.

Er, no it doesn't. Not unless you've got an old Rohloff that needs new oil seals, a 10-minute job to sort.

You don't get chain slap if you ride everywhere in a huge gear. Grrrrrrr.

Lot of effort to put Roloff in as rear hub, why they didn't mount it inboard, centrize mass and reduce unspung mass I'm not sure 😉

looks like one of those Brooklyn Machine Works overly complicated DH and hucking machines

hub gear makes it (marginally) more sensible

Yeah this makes no sense - Mount the Alfine where the pivot is if your building the frame from scratch. And if your doing that use a pinion gearbox instead. Both have been done before.

I don't see how this is any improvement on a BB pivot bike

Think an inboard Rohloff would be more reliable than a Pinion from what I seen of them although 'packaging maybe a bit more of an issue
