should I get some shallow drops like these: http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Road+Parts/Handlebars++Stems/Handlebars+-+Road/FSA+Vero+Compact+Road+Bars_2522.htm

or just some ergo's like these: http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/HB3TMU/3ttt_mutant_black_handlebar

I know its very much a personal thing but just wondered what the majority of the field use?

Is it your first crosser and first go at racing cross? If so I'd not go mad with bits. Just get some bars you can properly ride on. Being able to stay in the drops is a big plus.
