Wow.
Small production run of bespoke stuff, made by people paid a living wage in the uk. .
Robust/stainless parts and idiot-proof multi valve pump head.
Theft-resistant installation hardware and costs.
Still can't see £2k in all that though. I wonder if there is some maintainance/ repair service included in all that.
Fwiw HTS, there is one in front if Exeter central station and its lasted a year so far. I wonder how much theirs cost?

They have one outside bike treks in Ambleside. I think they're pretty good.

Actual cost or commuted cost?

You often see with street furniture that the local authority budgeting in the first year covers the initial cost to install plus a commuted sum for x years to cover inspection and maintenance, the reason they do this is so that the future cost burden is considered early in the process and true cost over the lifetime fully funded, father than installing something then not being able to look after it.

That's why, for example, a grit bin costs a couple of grand, as the accounting covers the cost of ten years refilling it.
