Hi guys and girls. i'll quickly introduce myself as im new to this forum, im tim, 18 and have recently got back into one of my favourite hobbies, CYCLING! i went to my local bike shop to take a look at the new specialized camber but saw a 2009 stumpjumper elite advertised at £900. the bike was being sold by a customer who reluctantly needed to get rid of it. it was barely used (apparently only along canals) with only 1 or 2 tiny scratches.i just couldnt resist. so i ended up with a £2000 bike for the relatively low sum of £900! and a much better bike than i had planned.

Nice one, make sure you get a picture up so people can rate your patio. 😛

I had one of those - very good bike indeed and you will enjoy it. I only really had to upgrade the wheels

What are you doing here if you're into cycling?
You should:
- grow a beard,
- be fat and bold,
- work in IT,
- drink some horrendously expensive coffee from a hand-made ti cup,
- shave using a traditional razor,
- drive better than Schumacher,
- live in a cottage in the sticks,
- drive a Defender/Octavia and a VW camper,
- hate the Torries, Lib-Dems and Labour,
- be an expert on rugby, footie, cricket,
- own at least half-a-dozen of niche bikes that never get ridden as your newest Blue Pig is so much better.
Activities such as cycling are't necessary here.
Welcome here and enjoy your bike!

LOL @ hairychested. Spot on.
Don't forget to make sure rim & tyre logos are lined up when you post the pics.

I had high hopes when I read the title, but alas the thread turned out to be particularly tedious and irrelevant...
