Unsure if this is in the correct place but here goes...
A friend of mine is after a bike with a max budget of £200. Needs nothing special (know he won't get it for £200), just some tootling about on down the local canals and to and from the shop.

If what you're asking 'what people would part with' then the right place would be the classifieds with an indication of what size bike your friend is looking for.

Also, try the local bike recycling place. Dunno how widespread they are, but the one near me has a decent enough selection.
