I broke my arm in two places as a kid, 30 something years ago, since then my left forearm has had limited rotation (like when you rotate your wrist to look at a watch). My right arm rotates nearly 180 degrees, my left only about 45.
I am fairly comfortable for long periods of time on a road bike, but flat bars or even worse anything with an upward sweep is causing me a lot of pain after about an hour, and then giving me grief for the following week.
I feel that ergonomically the bars end in about the right place for the rest of my body, (not too near, not too much reach etc) but i could do with some backwards sweep (and maybe even a little bit of a down sweep.........) so, if I lengthen my stem by 10mm to accommodate for a bit of sweep, and consequently after rotating my bars the grips end up the same distance from saddle etc am i compromising any direct steering feel??
Any thoughts or experiences on this appreciated!
