Any recommendations for bar muffs please?
Loads of Amazon specials, currently narrowed it down to branded options:
Decathlon £25

Oxford £40 https://www.halfords.com/cycling/cycling-clothing/cycling-gloves/oxford-cycle-muff-268699.html
It's just for short commutes and trips on a longtail ebike. It's got big risers on it so that rules out some of the Amazon ones that seem to cover the whole bar up to the stem. I've conceded that it's going to cover up the Bosch controller but maybe that's a good thing for the winter and inquisitive types!
”Made right here in the heart of the UK, we are 100% British!”
Whichever ones you get, make sure they attach to the bar ends as well as inboard of the brakes/shifters. If not they will flop around and be hard to get your hands back in.

I've been using HotPogs for many years and never had that problem.
I have the hotpogs and love em. Perfectly warm hands even in thin gloves, it's pretty amazing for me as a cold handed person (diabetic and skinny)
They did move around more than I like, to the point I really didn't like riding rough trails on them as it was so distracting- at one point I had screws through them into the bar ends to stabilise them which worked quite well, but I discovered that Nock handguards fit perfectly under them and act as a frame for the pogies and keep them almost perfectly still and in place. It's more faff to fit, of course, but still basicall quick and easy. I'll not ride with pogies and without the handguards now
(I won't advocate this because it's straight up theft, but, there are copy Nock handguards on aliexpress. I bought a set by mistake thinking they were genuine, they are nothing like as strong or well made as the real ones and would be a bad choice as an Extreme Enduro Hand Guard For Men, but in the end work really well as a Pogie Enhancer. I guess maybe it's more OK if you definitely wouldn't buy genuine Nocks?)
I still don't like riding more serious stuff on them, I feel a bit too "attached". This is probably just psychological but then so much of mountain biking is just psychological 🙂 But it made them far more useful. In fairness I am definitely an outlier, I'm not the typical pogie user, I'm not "adventure riding", I just like them for normal mountain biking when it's cold.
Thanks guys, I hadn't seen hotpogs, look like a good contender. They are a bit short on photos on the website though!
Another hotpogs convert since, umm, 2020 I think. I don't piss about anymore, they just go on when it gets cold. January this year:

Odd that piss gets past the swear filter when S****horpe, Was****er and ****stan don't.
Pissflaps.
Fnarr.
There is no getting away from hotdogs being ****ing ugly. But they are great.
However, take it from me if you hand is out of them and you think "a tiny bit of braking will be fine through them" just to take the edge off th speed... Don't grab a handful of pog and throw yourself over the bars.
Pogies with cheap aliexpress hand guards for me, I really like needing to wear only medium gloves instead of massive feeling removal thick gloves or lobster mitts
Also a hotpog user, they're ace. Not sure how long I've been using pogies in winter, must be close to 10 years. I'm not even somewhere particularly cold, just get cold hands
The "Pogie Lites" are good.
A lighter version of a pogie not made of wetsuit material.
Easy to squish up and carry, and then put on bars when you need that extra windchill protection.
Or put on bike and use a lighter glove like a normal neoprene pogie.
Can be put on drops or straightbars as well.
You need to becareful your hand does not sweat though so keeps you active moving them in and out or long climbs!
You can use the brake hoods on road bike inside or outside the Pogie.
