My Google Fu is failing me this morning.

I'm trying to find the external diameter of lock-on grips, ODI, Raceface, etc. I'm not wanting to get these, I'm actually looking at the ESI grips and unsure whether to go for Chunky (32mm) or Extra Chunky (34mm).

Anyone got a set handy along with some calipers to measure them for me please?

I'm quite surprised by the numbers above - I like big chunky grips and have struggled to find (odi amongst others) ones which don't taper in from the lock rings (which are give or take 31mm od).

The ss excel i used before they discontinued them were (by feel) unusualy thick grips and measured 32mm. my current easton ones on the ht, odi troy lee and the raceface half Nelson they replaced feel much thinner in the grip than those did (and aren't really long enough for my big hands)

Interestingly and timely. I’ll measure my ESI’s tomorrow and the raceface 1/2 nelsons and get back as the ESI whislt great easily susceptible to damage.

Big grips for arm pump, thin grips for less arm pump.

Unless you're riding a rigid bike...

The most helpful review for DMR Brendog Death Grips is good on CRC:

Thick option is 31.3mm dia.

Thinking of getting some with the thick/soft option for my rigid bike.

"Mike Hoder’s signature grips are made in the USA by ODI from a Super Soft compound for the feel Mike wanted. At 31.5mm they are a little Bigger Than Most to help cushion some of Hoder’s infamous landings."

Ourys are 32mm. They feel huge compared to ODI Vans at 30.5mm.

Ourys are my go back to grip when form beats fashion.

Bear in mind silicone/foam grips squish quite a lot compared to lock one's which have a thin 'grip' on a plastic sleeve.

Tempted to try uberbike fat grips which claim to be 35mm, I've got big hands though.

@singlespeedstu - these will be going on Jones H-Loop bars on a Singular Puffin fat bike, carbon forks. I've gone for the standard Chunky rather than the extra.
