I built one of these up last year and used the 175mm cranks from my last full susser but I keep smacking the pedals on things (the rear dropouts are in full slack position) so I'm just curious to see what other people are using?

I'm sure most of the problem is crap technique and that my previous bike had a higher bb so I used to get away with it more!!

Unless you’ve got really really long legs then 170mm cranks will be better in every way!

I had trouble hitting pedals when in slack mode. That was on 170 cranks. I ran mine in mid mode to resolve, which was fine. V2 rune

I was actually thinking of changing to 165mm.

It's something I've never really thought about until it became an issue but reading some articles on the subject has been quite interesting!

I have 170mm cranks on my Spitfire and 165mm on my Zero AM (because it’s even lower). I think I prefer the 170s but I have 34” legs, so on the longer side.
