You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just been watching Sean Conway's 'On The Edge' and quite taken with the notion of building a bamboo road bike (as I don't have any kind of tarmac machine other than my slick shod singlespeed rigid MTB).
Looking at the Bamboo Bicycle Club kits - anyone tried them (or any other kits)?
Is it fairly straightforward (I am pretty practical and mechanically minded - would expect mine to come out a bit straighter than Conway's did all things being equal...)?
What are the end results like as bikes? Not fussed about weight particularly.
Also somewhat smitten by the idea of their bamboo fat bike...
There is a whole thread - it does have a strange title thoigh .. something like "look what arrived in the post today" ?
Top thread. Thanks. Plenty of food for thought.
Guess if I go for it I won't be riding it until the new year...
Well, just pushed the button on one from Bamboo Bike Club. Wish me luck...
