thinking about an experiment.

Could the 24" fat wheels be used in a 26" frame? What issues would there be?

BB height and pedal strikes?

tyre clearnace if the stays are sculpted at all at the back - tyre will be in wrong position.

Ah. I kinda naively assumed that 24 fat = a 26 diameter (given the right tyre).

They'd still be a bit big, 4" tyres are 4" bigger diameter than 2" tyres, so they'll be somewhere between 650b and 29er

They're also 4"wide which would be the bigger problem!

I've got an old kona scab with a 26x4 front and a 24x3 rear. Rear fits with a bit of knob trimming. Diameters are pretty close to 29er front and 26er rear. It works OK in a kind of fun/daft/mucking about the woods type way.
