Morning,

Anyone still using Ay-Up lights?  I have been using them for about 15 years now, since they were recommended on this Forum.

I have accidentally purchased a few to many new items for the shop in Melbourne (stunning delivery time btw) and am planning to put a package up for sale.  I am thinking on Ebay no one will have a clue what they are.

I use them, but more as a headtorch for walking the dog.

I think their low power makes them a niche choice for off road use now. I can see bike packers/long distance road riders might be drawn to them, though.

You could try an ebay classified - they're free to list on?

There's a road bike in the bike shed here with them on. Makes me smile in reminiscence of the old group-buy I organised. STW working, that was.

No idea what I did with my Ay-Ups though.

I still have an ancient set (350 lumens?) though really only used as a headtorch now for dog walking, feeding the horses in winter and hill running.

I like mine on my helmet, low profile and light but I have a brighter light on my bars.  I might have to get a new battery before this winter.

I loved mine and riding solo they're ok.

The moment someone comes near with a more modern light, it's as if the new light sucks all the light out of mine and I'm in the shade. 🙂

OK for the road bike though.

I still use them, used to get loads of comments re how bright they were but as others have alraedy stated when riding with anybody else even the £30 quid lights from ebay totally out shone

I haven’t found a better light yet for fell running in terms of comfort and ease of use.

On the bike I still use a focused light on the lid but the connectors on the batteries are pretty worn.

Depending what you're offering, I could be interested.

Still using my 10+ yr old set, off-road, bikepacking & running.

Depending on what you have, I might be interested. I need a couple of new battery packs - 3-hour and 6-hour ones.

I still use mine and yes they are not as bright as newer ones but they are 8 years old and I still on there original Batteries  without any issues. I have 3 lights with a short mediom and long range beam and the combination works OK. When they die I will invest in some more powerful ones but they are so handy for many other things like camping and working under the car I will miss them.

What parts do you have for sale?
