Thinking of building up a trailer, and was going to thread 2 sets of cup 'n' cones, with appropriate lock nuts et c., to either end of a long threaded rod to make an axle.

Anyone know what size and thread pitch I need?

Any idea of a supplier, Notts area?

Cheers,

Alex

I'm pretty sure that M10 bar is what you'll need for Shimano hubs. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Screws+Fixings/Bolts+Set+Screws/Threaded+Bar+M10+x+1+m/d90/sd970/p86206

Toolstation is near the Pork Farms factory.

Simon, that's brilliant mate, I'll get in there with an old cone and check it out.

Uplink, going to be supporting the bar with timber, so should be OK.

Cheers all,

APF
