Staying in Carrbridge got a couple of hours sat sm, is the burma road good on a gravel bike, roughly how long does the loop take?

Cheers

We did Mini Burma today. It was great.  The climb is really nice.

But you wouldn't like the mini descent on a gravel bike...

Someone better qualified than me will be along soon, but my mate Rich did the full route today and did mention the gravel word.

Burma Road is great on a gravel bike. Make sure you go clockwise. Difficult to give a time as it's mainly predicated by the climb but 2 to 2.5 hours should be about right if you're a bit younger and fitter than me

You can make it slightly shorter/faster by taking the bridge at Inverlaidnan rather than Sluggan. (There's a track not shown on the OS 1:50k)

I did it a few years ago but didn't do the descent and stuck to the road. Took me about 4 hours all in and went up past sluggan? Bridge. It was scorching the day I did it so plenty of stops for photos and the climb killed me 🙂

Started in the carpark in Aviemore and looped back, there's a few tunnels you can take so you don't have to bother with the A9 although I did go along the grass beside it for a bit but it's very wide.
