Hi all, im learning about building bikes so go easy as a bit of a newb.
I got some second hand Avid Elixir 5 brakes but they came with no bolts of mounts. Previous brakes like shimano have been simple enough to get a mount for and put on the bike. But when looking at Avid, i see there is CPS and non CPS and a range of mounts. Can anyone shed any light on whether using CPS is a must on Avid E 5 and a 180 mount front and back?
Front is post mount and rear is IS on the frame. Both have 180mm discs. Can anyone provide me a link to what mount/kit is needed and shed light on CPS and if they are essential. Feels like im going round in circles and just want to finish the build as its the last bit.
