I've just bled my front brake for the first time and now the lever is hitting the bar. When pumped a little it goes to more normal position when biting.

I followed the avid video on Youtube with that Herc guy in it. I followed it step by step, but have obviously done something wrong!

I degassed the syringes, did everything in the same order and I think I adjusted the lever reach...but I'm not 100% it was enough.

Any ideas?

Cheers 😳

Just try the same again, I had to do mine a couple of times at 1st to get the procedure spot on. Practice makes perfect and all that....

i find it easier to force through a whole load of new fluid tbh then do what that video shows
Just repeat you have air in there somewhere

This, and quite a bit of air by the sounds of it.

AHA! It's fixed itself, the pistons hadn't found their place yet and now it's fine. Had the same issue with the back which I did not long ago. Pumped it a fair bit and now it's almost as good as the front (there's a little rub; wonky rotor).

It's probably simpler with new pads as they have less of a gap to adjust to.

Thanks for the advice none the less 😀
