You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
After a bit of research I have found the reason for my lever flapping forward on my Elixir's is that the dog bone part in the lever has worn. Not wanting to spend 25 quid on a whole new lever service kit does anyone know who sells the dog bone bit on its own?
Bump!
Not a clue but a cheap fix is a cable tie just tight enough to stop the lever from flopping out. It's a very effective fix and stops any wobble from worn bushings in the lever pivot too.
I upgraded mine to a rubber band round the lever- the £25 will go towards a set of hopes in a wee while!
Done 2 for a friend, the knuckle bar is about £7 each of ebay- tis all you need.
I can't find any for £7 on ebay.. any links?
Just found these at just under 12 quid delivered.

Can you not build it back up with a bit of JB weld?
What model elixir are they? I have a carbon lever from a cr complete with dog bone you can have for a tenner....
Thanks nomakoman, I have already ordered a new ali lever now.
When I get it I will take the dog bone out and measure it up and knock up a load at work on the CNC.
