Just a little PSA
Had some trouble with brake squeal in front, both with Avid HS1 and Discobrakes stainless steel rotors with both Jagwire semi metallic and Discobrakes kevlar pads.
First made sure both headset and wheels were tight with no play (they were fine and the issue was still there), then what fixed it was moving the caliper as close as possible to the fork horizontally. In other words, moving the inner pad in towards the rotor as far as it can go without the rotor hitting the caliper body.
Not sure many of ya'll use BB7s anymore, but this is what worked for me. Also, don't use HS1 the brake track is narrower than the pad, use G2 or another 16mm or more wide rotor.
