Lazily looking for a new roadie, and assuming I could get hold of one, I can't see anything beating this Ultimate CF SL 8 Aero
It ticks many boxes (Ultegra DI2, good carbon wheels, power meter, and the clean look of hidden cables), but what else should I be looking at? And anything that's a little more forgiving position wise?
ribble is similar money. their endurance sl might be a more forgiving position?

Have you looked at North Road Cycles?

I bought a very similar Canyon last year. To be fair I had ridden a previous (higher end) model quite extensively so I knew the geometry and fit would both be spot on.
Anyway, for the money it was far and away the best value out there. Equivalent models (in terms of overall spec) in other brands were anything up to £1000 more. Delivery was on schedule, no issues at all.
It's a great bike - the CF SLX frame recently got voted as one of the best all-round road frames available by Cyclist Magazine.
Ribble is a good shout - had forgotten about them (and kinda assumed them to be more expensive).
Not familiar with Northroad at all, but a real world presence would be nice.
@crazy-legs I hear ya! Just feels lazy though to default to Canyon (already have two), although I can't fault the ones I have ridden either.

Just came up on my feed, worth noting that Shimano in built power meter might not be worth getting
Endurace cf-sl if you want something more forgiving? (and spend the saving on nicer wheels?)
In stock too
That’s a bit of a speed weapon. Not sure I’d want wheels that deep for day to day use. Are you using it for road bike time trials or road racing? If it was my money I’d be looking at the new Giant Propel advanced Pro. Again that’s a speed weapon but similar money very light and very quick.
I would say however that both these bikes are for out and out speed. If I was looking for an all rounder I would choose something else. For instance I wouldn’t want to do the Marmotte or the Etape on either of these.

That’s the shimano own brand crank, the op’s bike has the 4iii version. That said I have read that the right hand of any shimano based power meter isn’t great. But I don’t believe the 4iii version is anywhere near as bad as the shimano version
Nothing on this thread would tempt me away from the Canyon so far. Can't imagine vdP ever riding a Ribble 😀
For a more versatile bike I would get the Specialized Aethos comp Di2 but it’s expensive . Aethos

Pro riders will ride whatever they’re paid to. And up until recently (sadly) there were a number of UCI continental pros who did just that… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ribble_Weldtite
Personally I’d buy the Ribble, as I’d prefer to support a British business rather than a German one when the products are basically identical.
