Only been doing this for just over a year and whilst travelling back from my first Alps trip all I can think about is the next 'fix'.
This is quickly resembling some sort of out-of-control addiction.
How come I never got this feverish yearning after decades of road riding?

Is this normal, will it fade, or is this some sort of switch?

Pretty much the same point that singletrackworld takes over your life?

And when you start recognising tyre brands by the tread 😉

When you start thinking about buying your second bike it becomes an obsession.

My Mrs is away for a (well deserved) holiday with some friends, and I'm looking after the kids for the week. Have missed a race and a trip to Chatel as a result. It's eating me away inside. Honestly struggling to sleep, 'cos I'm thinking about getting out on the bike. Trying to content myself with buying new parts and fettling. Which is obviously making it worse.

Second bike? Passed that milestone a long time ago...

Title should be rephrased "At what point does cycling take over your life?"

when you are struck down with ill health, and them no matter what it costs, try and find way's to keep on riding in some form or another. 8)

I love my biking, just back from the alps in fact. But I doesn't rule my life, plenty other stuff to do that just think about bikes.
