Man arrested after attack on naked charity cyclists in Perthshire

That’s awful, poor people.
Brave, during midge season. How come they're not getting hounded like Stephen Gough? Is that an indication of how social attitudes have changed?
I was wondering exactly the same thing. Had to Google it there. Steven Gough spent about 8 years in prison for being bollock in public and they're talking about stripping off at Edinburgh Castle......
Stopping, turning around and DELIBERATELY driving at a cyclist (well, two cyclists) and hitting them. Because what, they were naked? What an absolute ****. I already know the punishment won't be severe enough to match how this could have gone.
The good news is that driver has been arrested and charged...
I too was wondering about the upset through nudity and comparison with the naked rambler chap.
Gough was jailed for contempt of court for refusing to get dressed when told to by the courts. Not for being naked.

he's been jailed various times, I can't find the link now but I read somewhere that he's been sentenced to something like 10 years in total.
He did one stretch or 3 years or something, then immediately got arrested and jailed again for walking out of the prison bollocko
Police have charged a 32-year-old man with an alleged road traffic offence.
Help me with this. Am I wrong to say this is bollocks? They have changed him with an offence have they not?
Not an alleged offence.
Down with this type of thing.
They haven’t been found guilty yet. It’s an allegation.

That makes sense.
As ever, I find it amazing that a driver has the time to go back and re-abuse and assault someone because they object to their dress sense / bike / haircut / something...
They haven’t been found guilty yet. It’s an allegation.
Yes, but they've still been charged against a particular statute or offence or whatever. I'm with thegeneralist. The police allege that x has done y. They feel they have enough evidence so they've charged x with y.
Yep, it's almost tauological to charge someone with an alleged offence.
Agreed, popping an 'alleged' into the the charge terminology is daft. You can be an alleged murderer (until found guilty), but you can't be charged with alleged murder.
Re different attitude to naked rambler.....possibly a tiny bit sexist? Solo man naked - that's taken to be be a perv akin to a flasher. Man AND woman together - well, they are just a bit odd.
Bizarre. "...shouting and swearing out the window, and took two swerves toward us. The second swerve they collided with us and knocked us on the floor.."
And stw is all pendantic about the wording of the article!
Personally, I suspect they made it all up and the driver was innocently going about his day when his car was viciously attacked by a couple of PERVERTED NUDISTS!
Man AND woman together – well, they are just a bit odd.
I get naked with a woman quite a lot. We're not odd! Put us on a tandem in any attire though and we'd look odd! 😀
