I'm really taken by this, particularly in purple, SLX/Deore and an upgrade to 4-pot brakes.

For the first time in about 5 years I'm working out how much I can save and if I can get one in the summer...

Rather nice that.

I'm way out of touch on prices of fs frames these days (usually buy secondhand) and was a bit shocked when I saw the frameset and shock were over £2k.

Like I said, I'm out of touch on pricing!

It’s interesting that they’re offering lighter builds. Following on from my over-tyred thread I’ve been running my gen2 with lighter tyres and it’s really transformed the bike. I’m sure the gen4 is even better but my gen2 is three years old and still feels like the perfect bike for me and that’s after years of swapping bikes every year or so.

Indeed the ST4 was a cracking bike. In all sorts of ways.

This Cotic serms to address that issue where needed and yet seems to be, err, cracking...

Now, how to save up...
