What's it like?

I've never been there but just started work in Bristol and can get there after 7pm.

Will I get in? Will I het lost?

Yes and no.

(It's possible to get a bit lost if you ride off-piste in the dark, but not on the waymarked trails)

Ashton Court and Leigh Woods are well ridden at night. Go over the bridge, turn right up North Road and follow that until you see all the cars parked by the road. You can get into Leigh Woods there and the trails are signposted. Go to the end of North Rd and cross over, look for the gates in the wall and you're in to Ashton Court right there. See if the Cheesy Riders will show you round - they tend to ride Monday nights about then.

Are you driving there? Check what time the gate closes if so...

If riding, go up to the car park, past the mansion house on your left, bear right when the path forks, then up the hill to the top. Turn left at the crossroads onto a gravel path then first left onto the trail itself.

It all makes sense if you look at this map:
