The garden will be landscaped in September and the current storage will be sold. As is Sod's law, the job is over budget so wondered if there are any Asgard bike store alternatives that are worth consideration and cheaper, or is it a false economy?

Good quality standard shed, security screws in hinges, quality cable/padlocks/hasp and staples to secure bikes to the shed frame and the shed door, and then several battery powered shed alarms. This setup and securing access to the garden in the first place has thwarted attempted theft of my bikes.

I have a robust shed but it's going as part of the redesign of the garden along with all the non bike prafinalia like lawn mower etc. Bike storage is what I need but is Asgard the only real solution?

Halfords used to do something similar called the protect a cycle. No idea what it's like, I have a 4 bike Asgard and it's superb.

If you go with a standard shed you can add a concreted in ground anchor. I made mine with a large cardboard tube which was just dug into a hole then filled. Remember to leave a gap for fitting any floor boards.

Just had a look at the 'protect a cycle', looks ok but a the padlock hasps aren't shielded as they are with the Asgard.

Just get an asgard, complete piece of mind - for me anyway, YMMV.
