House move looming potentially and i'm not finding anything with a garage that I can afford.
Looking at other options, i'd really like a workshop but that could be a project further down the line. Those of you with the Asgard flip top 4x bike shed have any of you had one broken into? Anybody had one that's repelled an attack successfully? The insurance approved one looks a bit beefier but i'd rather a 4 bike option.
Part of the reason for the move is to get al the crap out of the house where it is now, but i'm paranoid living in inner Birmingham i'm going to end up missing bikes in fairly swift order. The bike store looks like a pretty good option cos it can tuck in round the corner of the extension pretty much out of sight, whereas if i put a decent sized shed/metal workshop in the back of the garden I think it looks like a bit of a target. Probably being a bit paranoid but meh.
Anybody got their house alarm rigged up to one - is that possible?
Might be worth keeping your eye out for one of these if you have room - http://www.secure-a-bike.com.
They come up second hand on Ebay on a regular basis - I paid £500 for mine as a temp solution while I was having a a garage built. They are insurance approved for motorbikes and are a proper piece of kit. You'd need some serious tools to break into one.
Mine now lives inside the new garage with the expensive stuff inside it.
I have one, it has been targeted but I still have my bike. It is connected to my house alarm.. If you search for my previous posts you should find as much as I would want to share openly.
If I was paranoid, I'd think you were phishing..,
