Hi all, hoping someone can help before I have some sort of breakdown. I've got a Pinnacle Arkose from a few years ago (2019 maybe). I've just bought some cable actuated hydraulic brakes as an upgrade but the buggers won't fit. The post mount on the fork seems to be different than the standard 74mm by about 10mm and the rear seems to be like 35cm distance between the holes. Do i need some sort of special adaptor? Have googled all over but everything seems to be based around the 74mm standard. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like they're flat mount, not post mount, a road bike type fitting.

Some pictures would probably help. Of the frame/fork mounts and the old and new calipers.

Thanks peeps, had never heard of flat mount but looks like that maybe the answer! Will have a look tomorrow and send some pics if more furious googling doesn't turn up the answer...

The caliper is flat mount? Or the fork?

They do a flat mount to post mount adapter

Another thing to be aware of is flat mount calipers won't work well with v-brake levers due to different cable pull ratios.
