Hi,
I purchased and Arkose 4 at the beginning of the month. When riding it home I noticed that it creaked a lot under load. I took it to my local Evans where it has been for the last week. The mechanic (who has been very helpful) said that it could be the bottom bracket or it could be the frame. He called me today to say that had ordered a new bike as well as the bottom bracket on it's own. It should have been with them by now but apparently the bottom brackets are difficult to find and that it won't arive until the first week of September.
I am concerned about the difficulty of getting the new bottom bracket. One of the reasons I chose Evans was because I assumed repairs and replacements would be quick and easy. Does anyone know if they are continuing to make these bb's? I don't want to have another issue down the road and they are no longer available.

Are they not just standard BSA? Mine is.
I think so, but I'm assuming it's the specific one that it came with (praxis?) that they want to replace it with.
