I'm a minute down a run and I have to stop as my fingers are locked like a Lego man and painful as. It seems to be my pinky, ring and middle finger.

I recently raised my break leavers and the level of control and confidence I have gained is amazing but my fingers are hurting way more.

I have tried relaxing my grip but no real difference, i seem to death grip a bit but i'm not scared.

Any help will be great thanks.

I have started suffering from this too ( it suddenly just started about 3 years ago) after 27 years of regular mountain biking. I’ve tried new grips , positions etc etc, but it occurs no matter what, tends to be related to rides with lots of braking.

I get this. I've found that it's due to my wrists bending excessively - i.e. when I get tired and more weight goes onto my hands. Maybe it's the same for you now you've raised your brakes up?

I run my brakes around 40 degrees of angle and that seems to work for me.

If you have large hands it could be that your grips are too thin. Since I switched to ESI extra chunky grips my hands suffer a lot less.

Also try checking your fork setup and drop a few psi out the front tyre if you can

lever distance to the bars can make a fair bit of difference.

If you find there isn't enough bite when you wind the adjusters in you can make a thinner bleed block to bring the pads out.
