So on cleaning my less than two year old Niner last week I noticed a crack on the chain stay non drive side. After a quick phone call with Niner importers by my LBS they have agreed to replace the frame under warranty. All fine so far. BUT the new frame is designed for 120mm forks making my 100mm Rebas obsolete, it’s also boost making my fairly new and expensive wheel set also obsolete and the seat post diameter is also different rendering my Lev dropper also obsolete . I think it’s going to be cheaper to buy a new bike !😤
And how is it possible that the first post landed in the for sale forum after clicking on bike forum?? Double😤😤
Di9d you buy a frame or a complete bike? If you bought a complete bike they have to replace it with a complete bike. a frame that your wheels and fork do not fit is not a suitable replacement
That’s a terrible situation to be in. Do they have no obligation to get you rolling again? Frame swap is great but like you say doesn’t help you much.
Seatpost - presumably 30.9 now 31.6, so whom possible?
wheels - boostinator or suchlike an option?
reba - could you change the travel?
Your new and expensive wheelset can be converted to boost - Wolf Tooth boostinator will sort it, or Hope do their own kit, wheel may need a redish too.
Forks - depending on the age, you might be able to adjust them internally, or for newer RockShx you just swap the air spring to make them 120mm
Assuming the seatpost is larger, a USE thermoplastic shim from Wiggle/Winstanleys will sort that.
All annoying little things you probably shouldn't have to pay for, but they'll do the trick
Not sure which Reba it is but it’s not 120 mm compatible according to the LBS. The hubs are DT Swiss centre lock which apparently are not possible to change to boost and the old seat post diameter was 27.2 so the seat post could be shimmed but that is almost certain to invalidate the warranty. Oh and this was a self build not a complete bike.
Could you do a centrelock to 6 bolt plus boost spacing adapter for the rear hub?
Have you checked the geometry to see why it isn't supposed to have a shorter fork?

How about that? Appears to be a non-boost centrelock to boost 6 bolt rear hub converter
Good find swanny853. I’ll take the link to the LBS on Monday and see what they say although I don’t quite understand this part...Note: Please observe the instructions and specifications of the manufacturer of your hubs.
Not suitable for 6-hole hubs and Centerlock brake discs!
I use a, er, USE seatpost shim, i think it was about a tenner, cannot fault it.
Stupid question but.. Does the fork have separate marking for 100 and 120 on the sanction. If so it's convertible.
My similar vintage sids (2015) were converted for minimal outlay.. Just needed a new air shaft which I got off here for a tenner
Redish and adapter will sort out the rear wheel

The bike is sitting at the LBS atm but I’m pretty sure the forks don’t have markings for 120mm.
Also.. If you don't want to shim the post then you can replace the outer tube I think. I did it with a i900.
If the post is two big for your new frame and is externally routed I have an external 30.9 i900 tube you can have for nowt if you reckon it will fit.
Not suitable for 6-hole hubs and Centerlock brake discs!
I had to think about that for a sec but if you think that the adaptor kit is to fit a 6 bolt rotorto a centrelock hub you can see why it doesn't work the other way round!
