Thinking about getting some carbon tubs to use for racing which will also be used for the new road season.
I have looked into tyres and the Challenge Grifo seems to be the tyre of choice for most people. Are they good in all conditions and can they handle the mud ok or would it be better to mix it with a Fango on the front? Ideally would like to get away with just the Grifo though. Also, how good is the puncture protection, better than clinchers?
As always, any input much appreciated.
Grifo are utter poo in the mud. Rhinos (Dugast) or Supermuds (FMB) are your point of call, Fangos (Challenge) if you are odd like me are a great all round, Limus are also rather nice but not raced them just pootled on them.
One tub to rule them all there is not.
And yes, they are worth it, like night and day.

So many wheels....for two bikes.
Will only have one set of tubs so want to get it right. Currently running Michelin Mud 2 clinchers.
