More than likely exactly the same, though the ebay one has a smooth reflector in one picture and an orange peel in another, which you will recieve is worth questioning the seller.

I'd be interested to know too, at 35 quid a pop they seem like a bargain.

No, I reckon its on of these - I have the non-assault crown version and the battery pack is the same as the ebay one (shrink wrap and cardboard ends). The magicshine you linked to has got the newer rubber covered battery pack.
😉

Yeah, they look very similar and the power outputs//inputs look similar. That 35 quid also includes a rear which strikes me as a bit of a bargain at this time of year!

Which is the best light at that sort of money, as in surely the battery pack cover must count for something too.

It also has a picture which says SSC P7 1200 lumen. 🙂

You do kind of get what you pay for, I also have a proper magicshine and I dont think the build quality of the cheapy one is quite up with it, but its still fine (no grease on o-rings, soldering less accurate, cable exit doesn't have a gland).
I waterproofed the battery by plasti-dipping it, used red so it now resembles a cuboid babybell. Waterproofed the cable exit of the light with some silicone sealer.
Still comes with the old style charger that magicshine seem to have stopped supplying (although it charges at a lower current than my old magicshine one), hasn't burnt my house down yet but i'm thinking of making and adapter cable to use my hope charger with it and putting it in a li-po charging bag.

These are very similar to one of the magicshine models, cant remember which one and they work a treat! very bright!

I've got the 1600 lumen £35 quid one and it's a top helmet light. Super bright with quite a spot to it which works well on the head. A friend of mine used it this week on it's own and while not perfect it was more than good off to use off road on tight woodsy singletrack alone.
