My '09 Fox 32Vans/15mm currently on my Bluepig really seem quite flexy fore and aft and seem to flutter a lot when battering down stuff, torsionally/steering wise they're fine but Im not sure if Im 'over riding' them.

Dont really want the weight penalty of 36's/Lyriks and just wondering if Pikes would be stronger?

Probably, but it might be worth trying a Revelataion with a Maxle first.

I've not given mine a proper thrashing yet, but things are looking promising so far.

YES

Pike's are definitely stiffer in my experience.

Same size stanchions yes, but more material in the crown, the steerer and even more importantly a 20mm bolt through axle compared to a QR or 15mm axle.

It's not worlds apart, Pikes aren't as stiff as a Lyrik or a 36, but definitely stiffer than a 32.

Incidentally, you may be surprised by this but a 36 is about the same weight as a Pike! Fair bit more expensive though...

whatever fork it is must be coil sprung, and 140mm so that rules out Van36's and leaves pretty much the 454Pikes (or domain318's), plus they're nearly the same colour as the Fox's so the wife wont notice. Just wondering if it was worth the change though-I doubt they're going to snap-its just a bit disconcerting seeing them flex so much.

I'm hoping the new RockShox Argyle RCT could fit in this bracket. Most likely its just a pike dressed up a bit. Same lowers for sure but not sure about the rest. Claimed weight of 4.44lbs seems reasonable too.
