i am looking to buy a gamut, but i have three sprockets at the front and was wondering if tis possible to fit one ? And how much do they cost for a complete one ?
just for single front rings, although they may do a dual ring set up.

Single or dual ring. On the dual ring set-up, the bashguard replaces the outer (largest) chainring. Take a look on Chain Reaction (or just a web search) for prices/models.

does your bike have iscg tabs?
as said on the other thread, just go ride your bike how it is. your work out what you need and what you don't.
not so long ago people rode the same bike for dh and xc.
