I haven't had a set of forks that didn't end up creaking eventually, is everyone else in the same boat?

It's across brands, across styles of forks, am I unique or are most people not bothered?

If you have a receipt Rockshox will replace creaky forks, at least they did for me.

It is irritating and a bit disconcerting, and I'd say half the forks I've had in the past 3 years have creaked.

When you say creaking. What kind of noise do you mean? Like a cracking noise once in a while, or door opening slowly?

@I like food - how old were your forks when Fishers replaced them? The steerer on my Pikes has come loose from the crown so need a new CSU but they are nearly 3 years old so out of warranty. Have emailed them and left an answerphone message but haven't heard back yet.

Had many forks over the years and only a set of Fox forks have ever creaked... Replaced on warranty even though I bought secondhand with no receipt!

3 bikes, 3 different forks, no creaking, so i'd go with not inevitable.
