No 'Ard Moors thread? Nothing came up in the search anyway, apologies if I've missed it.

How was it for everyone? Weather was amazing. Stages 1,2 and 5 ....well, you couldn't ask for better enduro stages in the UK in my opinion.
Stages 3 and 4...errr ok? Could have quite happily missed them out personally!

Overall, another brilliant event and I'm completely spent.

Awesome day out! Not had such a good day out on the bike in the UK in ages.

5 was my favourite stage, those turns man....

4 was a bit odd, but still kind of fun in a different, hacking about kind of way.

2 was amazing, that gully at the bottom was a hoot

I hope you all rode the climb back up at the end of the day? 😈

Really enjoyed it, the stages were perfect, even the transitions were good fun.
Made quite a few mistakes on some stages though, stage 1 in particular was really greasy and I was slow on the top half.

Managed a time of 16:09 overall.

Was a brilliant day, S1 was like an ice rink compared to Saturdays practice and S4 I thought was poorly marked and quite a few of us went off route ! and S5 was just bonkers and fast !

Cracking weather and great lads and another well organised event. Found the transition from S3 to S4 brutal with the bike a bike section

Having a collarbone injury I just took it really steady so couldn't risk crashing but finished at a respectable 19 mins.

Actually preferred it more than Ard Rock !

My mate got a fairly horrendous injury on the boardwalk on stage 1?

he had the decency to finish the stage and not hold things up tho!

other than that sounds like a good race

Is that why they shifted the finish of stage 1 to before where the boardwalk started? Came through the last few corners jumps with marshals waving and shouting that I'd finished the stage - bit confused!

Hope the guy who smashed into the tree after the final gap on stage 1 is ok. He was on an Orange 5.....and I think I've previously met him at Eastridge on an old, red Rockhopper.

One of the best day's mountain biking I've had in terms of sheer fun. For me this was an even better event than Ard Rock (and that's saying something).

Stage 1 was a 'slide and survive' ride for me, with a comedy crash just next to the padded gatepost on the muddy chute up at the top section, which resulted in a particularly painful crush injury, as the back of my saddle made sharp contact with my 'old man'...ouch, f&ck it hurt.

Stages 2 and 5 were just...well...amazing. Long, flowing and soooo much fun - I had such a great time riding them.

I don't know if it was the amazing weather, but everyone was so damn friendly. I met loads of riders on the transitions and had some really great banter. The venue and the organisation were spot on. Music and beers on Sat PM were all good.

Thanks to all the people who put the hard work in to make this happen. Can't wait until next year!!

I hadn't seen too much on the forums about this event, so guess it wasn't on most peoples radar. Hopefully it won't get too busy next year.

Surely the 'Ard series will win the ST award for best event. I rode both of them and will be hovering above the mouse button at whatever hideous hour entries for 2017 open...

Not sure what happened to my post above I wrote much more than that.
There was a big smilie after that first sentence.

Is the bloke who disappeared off down the footpath instead of stage 3 on here? 😀

How we laughed.

Great event and loved stage 1, 2 (despite a big crash right at the end of the short steep section) and 5. Stage 3 was over before it begin and stage 4 was just odd. Don't know if it was the heat or drinking too much the day before but I found a few of the transitions a little taxing and I never want to see that Tarmac climb again (until next year). Well organised and super friendly, big thumbs up from me

A great event, I was marshalling on the gap on 1 on Saturday, and saw some great riding and a good few people surprise themselves with what they could do in the moment!

Start of 5 on Sunday was great, walking down packing the course up at the end of the day I was gutted not to have taken the bike up. Just looked stunning...

Next time. Next time.

In case anyone is interested, the photos are here. You can search for your name/number, but there's also quite a few untagged ones too.
