Just giving you the heads up when it arrives. Get your 'it's dusty in here' stuff in beforehand. It gets a bit embarrassing otherwise.
Toms article is absolutely lovely. I can't even begin to comprehend what it must have been like to sit down and write it.
So I'm going to just put a couple of things up here, after reading it
This....
and a quote that I happened across today from Neil 'Nello' Baldwin, who you may know from the BBC program Marvellous, which seems like all you need to know...
"I always wanted to be happy. So I decided to be."
The former illustrates the latter. I want to type more stuff but its probably not a good idea, and I'll spare you from reading it. Life is precious. We're very lucky people. Enjoy it!
Well said, couldn't agree more.
Big love. 🙂
Binners - thanks for that chap. It definitely wasn't easy to write, in fact, it is by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to articulate. A whole world of things to say, and no words that felt even close to being adequate.
Like I said in the piece on the front page, not long after Jenn died - I think she'd be more than a little embarrassed that people were doing rides in her name, but also rather made up to know that they were out having fun, and living their lives - and that she was inspiring them to do that. So, thanks for the pics - they made me smile 🙂
First thing I read, was Toms bit. Was very moving. Thinking hugely about you Tom and I am sure we are all in agreement with that . Take care.
Yep, only bit I've read so far. Definitely a wee bit dusty this morning. A lovely tribute Tom.
Beautiful words Tom. We both read it this morning, and we were similarly afflicted by the random dust monster.
Beautifully written.
Every day I WTFU and ride for Jenn and my mate Rachel who won't be seeing Easter.
John
Summed it all up excellently Tom. My hat off to you - and heart out to you, too.
It's like a Rubik's Cube of trying the get the right right across such a diverse set of qualities.
If we can take even a little of all that to heart, the world - and us - will be a lot better..
Not read it all yet, damn this winter pollen.
Not opened it yet.
Had a feeling it would be one to read in a quiet moment.

Had to open the shop this morning a bit later than expected as it was quite dusty will always remember a chat we had at mayhem 2013 and her telling me too pull my finger out and open my bike shop properly best straight talk I've ever had.
It's a lovely piece, as was Mark's and the Grand divide article which I'd forgotten about and read again like I'd never read it before.
I blubbed like a baby TBH.
Lovely words Tom. Best issue for a while too.
Chips had it right take pictures because you never know what's around the corner.
Good job by Tom too.
I read it this morning, a lovely article.
A few days after Jenn died, I was out at Hope cross, trying to man up and ride parts of The Beast I always chickened out on. Anyway this time I was inspired by thinking of Jenn, and I cleared the whole thing for the first time.
Tom's article is worth the subscription all by itself.
It's my first day off for a while, it's cold, it's pissing down and I'm knackered. I planned to spend today on the sofa watching rubbish. I read Tom's words and I'm now going to ride my bike.
