Anywhere closer than Fort William with a decent forecast for weekend?

Got a weekend free, possibly Monday too and this glorious weather is supposed to stop on Friday 🙁

Lakes looks like pissy muzzle.
Llanberis is a bit better at the weekend, and lovely on Monday, but I'm not so inspired by the biking there apart from the Wyddfa. Would try the mid Carneddau but might be a bit ramblery.. perhaps Monday...
Braemar is forecast bloody snow all weekend.
Fort William looks OK, but is a helluva drive from Manc.

I s'pose Borders should be considered, but I'd like to do proper mountains if possible.

Hmmmmm

No idea mate, I'm off rock climbing at Reiff on Friday. Big suns all round. 😀

F'cough 🙂

I deliberately didn't look at the forecast anywhere north of Fort as that would be really silly.
Can't quite believe that the [ only] time I went to Rieff was indeed a 3 day weekend trip from York. God petrol must have been cheap then!

Stanmer Woods

Copys and pastes into Google

The tea rooms do a mean sausage roll as well!

You could take the boys to Farmer Johns. Spectating and I think you/they can still enter

.... Trusting a weather report that's more than a few hours away is akin to believing in horoscopes

That's not fair. Several people's horoscopes have been true.

OP, use a different forecast. Job jobbed

Appreciate that Sussex was a bit far and a bit tongue in cheek, but Stanmer Woods and the beacon ridge this morning were just glorious. And the mocha and cinnamon bun at the kiosk were rocket fuel 😉
