Considering this as a replacement to my overkill Hillbilly Grid. 27.5" X 2.35".

Any reviews, opinions from the STW forum?

i had one on the rear for a while last year, was ok through the dry summer but not as good when it started getting wetter, also quite light so not tough enough for me on the rear. went back to a minion DHR2, much better. a mate had won a few vittoria tyres and tried the martello this winter, struggled for grip so tried the moto and it was a bit better but not much.
this was all as a rear tyre, don't think you would want one on the front.

if a hillbilly is overkill try a butcher, although i prefer a minion over the butcher then switching to a shorty when the conditions need it.

I'm using the Martello TNT on the front and the Morsa TNT on the rear. Had one on the rear too to start with but destroyed it very quickly. The side knobs are strong but soft compound so wore very quickly on the rear, wearing better on the front.

However, I'm in Tenerife riding dry but loose and rocky trails. It is working well for me here.

yeah, i found the martello fine on dry, loose trails but once it got wet on rocky or muddy trails it wasn't as good.
i think they have some new tyres coming out soon which are meant to have more grip and are tougher but don't think i'll bother trying them, happy enough with minions.
