Bought a bag of black plastic ones from halfords, they do the same job but not as bling however they are cheaper if you lose one and you get more for the money

the halfords ones were shite and had no tension (is that correct)

I've used the plastic ones from an ebay seller (sorry no longer have the link), and they've worked well. I think these little c-clips look loads tidier than zip ties. I'd love to hear peoples experiences with the metal ones - just a shame they don't make them in black.
