Anyone used the uber e matrix pads

Looking for new pads for the Ebike, the stock xt m8120 pads are really noisy, replaced them with sintered uber pads and they were worse.
Just bought some magura 2mm thick rotors to try as well but thinking of trying the uber e matrix or alternatively race matrix if they would be quieter.
Or other suggestions welcome but ideally I don't want to be spending £15-20 quid on a set of pads let alone ones that won't last 5 minutes.
Cheers

I've had them for the last 4 sets, seem OK and last a bit longer than the matrix race.

You have an expensive machine and dont wish to pay £15 for some pads to keep you and others safe?

Double check the calliper isn’t one of them leaky ones.
Stock pads are usually silent and awesome.

I found e matrix fine when dry but in the wet they lost a load of power. Normal race matrix are a better allrounder - probably slightly less outright bite in the dry but survive wet weather better.

In gopping winter conditions I’d go back to full sintered though.

Cheers for the advice, sounds like they could be worth a try then, I'll report back.

I've run both and couldn't tell the difference. I usually run Race Matrix in all the bikes all year round but thought I would try the e ones in my old Levo. They were still going strong when I sold the bike on Thursday.
My new one has got the Race Matrix in Codes. Had no problems with them on the trails above Lake Garda a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not that heavy and don't tend to drag brakes if that helps

Based on this post I've just purchased some too. My brakes are very 'banshee' when wet, hopefully things will improve.

I've had mixed experiences with e matrix pads.
They were good to start with but one hot weekend riding at the golfie and they started to howl like a banshee.
I swapped them out for hope originals because I couldn't stand the noise.

They're OK but I found them howlers too, Race Matrix are the quieter pads went back to them even if they don't last quite as long.

didn't last very long before they stopped working. Didn't like my brake dragging. Been using Noah & Theo ceramic on my saints for a while now with no issues.

Nothing shows up different riding styles and conditions better than brake pads IMO.

I've been running uberbikes ematrix for about 4 years. Initially I was happy with race matrix but I found they cooked on the longer, sustained braking descents in the Lakes and Spain, (and one specific smaller descent on the Mendips) and were never the same after they cooled, being left with less top end and reduced bite. They were also too soft in winter and wore a bit quick in those conditions.

E matrix has removed all of those complaints. They tolerate heat well so that I've not cooked them yet. They maintain their bite after getting really hot and seem to be pretty consistent in most conditions. They're a bit howly in the wet for a short period until theres some heat in them, but this isn't any worse than any other pad I've ever used. They dont wear as well as sintered in winter, but they're acceptably cheap so its not a major issue.

I think they’re great pads. I run Hope Tech3/E4 and Tech4/E4 brakes. I found E-Matrix pads to be both powerful and quiet.
Just done a very hot dry week in the Alps, and a wet week in Slovenia back in May using them, without any problems. A fresh set lasted the whole week on each trip.

I have the SLX 7120 on my Vitus ebike.

The stock Shimano pads got very noisy towards the end of each run. Swapped the front for an Uberbike Race Matrix which was a wee bit better.

Arrived in the Alps last week and in advance I'd bought some Uberbike Finned Kevlar pads. Absolutely horrific noise from them. Never heard anything like it before. I'd bedded them in but the instant you pulled the lever they squealed like mad.

I bought a couple of new Hope floating rotors and some Shimano own brand resin pads for ebikes and that's cured all the noise and the brakes feel so much better
