Hi Chaps,

Looking at helmet lights, and the Joystick Mk9 is bumped up to 750 lumens, with a wider spread - the Axis 2 also looks interesting at 850 lumens with similar burn times.

Has anyone used the latest Axis?

Cheers

Ricks

Cheers Iain,

Looks like the comparison is between the older Axis 1, and the Joystick Mk9 - plus lots of other models of the joystick.

IF the Axis didn't exist, the Joystick would be a very appealing and easy choice. If the Axis 2 can throw better than the Joystick, then it seems a better bet.

I've always run a spot on the head, and a flood on the bar. Did the Maxx-d make the Joystick feel pointless- or did the Joystick just feel like it was an extension of the Maxx-d when turning corners?

Rickon - when I had the mk7 Joystick on lid and mk6 Maxxd on bars the joystick was only really noticeable as a spot and was always aware of it when looking in a different direction from the bars. The new mk9 Joystick is quite different with no defined spot so it very much fills in the gaps and is quite floody when looking away from bar direction. So I'd say like an extension - I really rate it as a setup.
