Like the idea of the Hewaddywaddy very much, but not intrigued enough to drop the best part of £80. Shorts look good too, but would need to be able to justify.

Big fan of howies on the whole (certainly around the ethics involved), but have been both incredibly pleased and rather stung by their more innovative outdoor products, hence the question.

Give it a couple of months and there will be a sale.

Mate has the shorts and rates them. They are a slim cut, not super baggy or long. I'd say they. Are splash proof but not proper waterproof. Nice and stretchy and not a bad price

I am testing the Shewaddywaddy just now. I like it lots. Lightweight, fits (me) nicely, primaloft bits in places that makes sense. Feels good pulling it on mid or post ride. Also just for wearing generally - the drop back is not so long you look weird wearing it to the shops etc.

I have had the short for about a year and they're great quality. A little long for extended road riding, but perfect for shorter asphalt trips and any off-road.

Wicked - thanks all.

I'm going to ponder. And maybe wait a little while. 🙂

I've got both

The hewaddywaddy is a great jacket for cold fresh mornings, the insulated front makes a big difference, v noticeable when you stop and the wind hits the uninsulated section. I'm not sure how waterproof it is. Keep an eye on sizing, I'm between l & xl in Howies sizes so went for xl, should really have gone for an L it's not got the athletic cut I'd have expected.

The shorts are awesome, if they did them in a another colour I'd get a second pair

shorts: careful with sizing, I bought medium (I'm small/medium) and have to cinch them pretty tightly.

but apart from that, pretty good shorts.

Suit me down to the ground. 🙂 I'm a medium going on large after a winter of too little riding. Medium it is. 😉

Thanks guys.
