Trying to fit an E13 one to my new Trek Fuel but with non boost 3x cranks I can't space out the ISCG05 plate enough without it hitting the crank. I have hacksawed off the granny ring mounts but still not enough room to get the guide centered over the chainring. Due to the way the guide bolts to the plate you can't space out the two. Which is all a long winded way of asking can you install spacers between the mounting plate and the guide, possibly with a longer bolt, on the Specialized one?

You can up to a certain witdh, There is a plastic bit behind the guide and you can put a spacer in until the plastic bit is no longer engaged. We had to do that to Abigales when we stuck in a chain ring with the wrong offset till the correct one was delivered.
The Oneup Components one may be better

Use the direct mounts on the frame (I believe they are low/direct).

Thanks both.

Tracey - do you know approx how much adjustment is available? Reckon I need about 6-7mm

Abigale is doing well isn't she? Assuming she must be the same Abigale I have seen appearing at the top end of the results in the last few weeks

I dont think you will get that much on it, we got 4mm and the plastic bit was on the limit.
Abigale is doing well so far this season, probably needs more time to get used to the new bike. Whilst at Uni she has access to the Chameleon and a Camber but its not the same as riding her main bike. I have a Oneup Components one fitted to my Enduro which you could probably get away with a longer bolt and spacer.

Same as this

Just watched the video on the oneup website, looks like the plastic guide sits on a machined shelf on the mounting plate when the bolt is tightened. If you space it off that then it will only be held on one bolt so is likely to move and loosen off when the chain hits it? Or am I mistaken?

Watching that I think mine is different at the top. I've had it a while. Will take it to bits at the weekend and see if I could get a spacer in it and it still function

Thanks Tracey. Need to order one now for a trip to Wales this weekend. Will keep looking. Need to look more closely at Sir HC's suggestion
